Parten, 24, of Arkansas, died Sept. 10 in Konar province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Powerlifting:

A1. Shoulder Press 5 x 4-5 reps @21×1; Rest 3:00

A2. Deadlift 5 x 4-5 reps @11×1; Rest 3:00

B1. Kettlebell bottoms up 3 x 10-12 reps @20×0; Rest 1:00

B2. Barbell Good mornings 3 x 8-10 reps @2121; Rest 1:00

C. Strict Toes to Bar 3 x 10; Rest as needed in between sets.
