Army Sgt. 1st Class Daniel B. Crabtree died June 8, 2006 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. SFC Crabtree, 31, of Canton, OH; assigned to 2nd Bn, 19th Special Forces Group, Ohio ANG, Columbus, Ohio; died June 8 of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during combat operations in Kut, Iraq. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; and daughter, Mallory.
